Mogadishu, (SONNA) – A joint operation by the Somali National Army (SNA) and U.S. Air Forces has resulted in the elimination of 10 Al-Shabaab militants in the Beerxaani area, approximately 35 kilometers northwest of Kismayo, the interim capital of Jubbaland.
The operation targeted a group of Al-Shabaab militants planning a coordinated attack, effectively thwarting their intentions and neutralizing the threat. Initial reports confirm that 10 militants were killed, with no civilian casualties reported.
This operation underscores the Somali National Armyβs commitment, in collaboration with international partners, particularly the United States, to eradicate Al-Shabaab and prevent their orchestrated attacks aimed at destabilizing the Somali people.
