Ahmed Hassan Aden, today held a key meeting in Mogadishu with Dr. Andrew Mold, Director for East Africa at the United Nations Economic Commission for Africa (UNECA).<\/p>\n<p>The discussions focused on advancing Somalia\u2019s blue economy agenda and strengthening cooperation between the Ministry and UNECA. The two sides also reviewed progress on the Blue Economy Valuation Study and explored the implementation of the Blue Economy Valuation Toolkit (BEVTK).<\/p>\n<p>The meeting underscored the importance of evidence-based approaches to assessing the value of Somalia\u2019s marine resources and promoting sustainable development, investment, and growth within the country\u2019s blue economy sector.<br
