Mogadishu, (SONNA) \u2014 The Federal Government of Somalia strongly condemns the unfortunate incident that occurred this afternoon in Howlwadaag District, Banaadir Region, involving armed opposition group militias who had concealed their identities and were organized by Hassan Ali Khaire Former Prime Minister.<\/p>\n
These armed opposition group militia members, armed with heavy weapons, directly targeted a police facility belonging to the Howlwadaag District Police Station. The militia had reportedly been brought into the area last night . Regrettably, the heavy weapons they carried were also fired into residential neighborhoods inhabited by civilians.<\/p>\n
The Federal Government of Somalia reiterates that it will not tolerate any attempt to undermine the security of the capital city, disrupt the work of the security forces, or create fear and instability among the population.<\/p>\n
The security agencies have launched a formal investigation into this criminal act, and appropriate legal measures will be taken against anyone found to have been involved.<\/p>\n
Finally, the Federal Government expresses its appreciation to the Somali people for their continued cooperation with the security institutions and calls upon them to further strengthen this collaboration in order to collectively prevent any actions that could threaten the stability, peace, and security of Mogadishu.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
