Mogadishu, (SONNA) \u2014 Officials from the Somali Disaster Management Agency, Federal Member State ministries responsible for Humanitarian Affairs and Disaster Management, and the Banadir Regional Administration gathered in Mogadishu for a workshop on the Tri-Part Framework aimed at strengthening disaster management coordination across Somalia.<\/p>\n

Hosted by SoDMA with support from WFP in Somalia, the workshop focused on enhancing collaboration, improving coordination of humanitarian operations, and strengthening preparedness and response mechanisms for disasters and emergencies.<\/p>\n

Participants commended SoDMA\u2019s continued efforts to advance disaster management in Somalia, highlighting the importance of the forum in promoting stronger cooperation and alignment among institutions involved in humanitarian response.<\/p>\n

Dr. Ismail Jim’ale, Head of Projects Development at SoDMA, emphasized the need for closer collaboration among stakeholders to build a more effective and unified approach to disaster preparedness, response, and risk management nationwide.<\/p>\n
