Beijing (SONNA) \u2013 The Somali Embassy in China this year organized a vibrant celebration marking African Day in Beijing, bringing together African ambassadors accredited to China, diplomats, and distinguished guests.<\/p>\n

Participating African countries showcased their diverse cultures and traditions through traditional dances, music, poetry, cuisine, and national attire representing each country\u2019s heritage.<\/p>\n

The Somali Embassy presented Somali culture and traditions, which drew significant attention from attendees. The event also highlighted symbols reflecting the history and unity of the Somali people.<\/p>\n

African Day celebrations are held annually in China to strengthen cooperation and relations between African countries and China.<\/p>\n

Speaking at the event, Somalia\u2019s Ambassador to China, Hodan Osman Abdi, said the purpose of the celebration was not only to commemorate a historic occasion, but also to create an opportunity for people to learn more about Africa and its diverse cultures.<\/p>\n
