He added that he was recently deployed to Ugunji as reinforcement but decided to surrender after failing to withstand the sustained military offensives conducted by the Somali National Army.<\/p>\n<p>He further revealed that conditions within the group had become increasingly difficult, with militants living in constant fear due to ongoing operations targeting hideouts used by Al-Shabaab leaders and fighters.
