Mogadishu, (SONNA) \u2014 The Minister of Defence of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Ahmed Moallim Fiqi, today received at his office the Ambassador of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye to Somalia, H.E. Alper Akta\u015f, along with Gen. Sebahattin Kalkan, the head of T\u00dcRKSOM.<\/span><\/p>\n

The discussions centered around enhancing military collaboration between the two nations, specifically focusing on training for the Somali National Army, bolstering their defense capabilities, and fostering a strategic partnership.<\/p>\n

Minister Fiqi expressed gratitude to the Ambassador and his delegation for Turkey\u2019s steadfast and diverse support for the Somali people and government.<\/p>\n

He further emphasized that the strong bilateral ties between Somalia and Turkey would serve to challenge those opposed to Somalia\u2019s progress.<\/p>\n

In closing, Minister Fiqi acknowledged all of Somalia\u2019s international security partners for their invaluable assistance in the reconstruction of the National Armed Forces and the ongoing efforts against terrorism.<\/p>\n
