Mogadishu, SONNA \u2014<\/strong> The State Minister for Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Ali Mohamed Omar, today received a delegation from the United Nations Transition Mission in Somalia (UNTMIS), led by Officer-in-Charge Raisedon Zenenga, accompanied by Vikram Parekh.<\/p>\n

The discussions focused on the ongoing UNTMIS transition and the evolving political and security landscape in Somalia, with both sides exchanging views on the next phase of engagement.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, the State Minister emphasized Somalia\u2019s firm commitment to a Somali-led transition, underscoring the importance of strengthening national institutions and consolidating gains achieved in peacebuilding and state-building.<\/p>\n

He noted that aligning international support with Somalia\u2019s national priorities remains essential to ensuring sustainable progress and long-term stability.<\/p>\n
