The Federal Government of Somalia has convened the seventh quarterly meeting of the Fisheries Management and Development Council (FMDC), bringing together federal and state-level ministries alongside key stakeholders in the country\u2019s Blue Economy sector.<\/p>\n

Chaired by the Minister of Fisheries and Blue Economy, Ahmed Hassan Adan, the high-level forum serves as Somalia\u2019s principal coordinating body for marine and fisheries governance, reinforcing national efforts to sustainably manage the country\u2019s vast maritime resources.<\/p>\n

The meeting is held under the formal framework of the FMDC, established to harmonize policies, address inter-sectoral challenges, and ensure equitable and sustainable use of marine resources.
