Baidoa, (SONNA) \u2014 The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud, held a key meeting with traditional elders from South West State in Baidoa, focusing on strengthening peace, reconciliation, and governance.<\/p>\n

The discussions centered on advancing community reconciliation, reinforcing the democratization process, addressing the ongoing drought, and promoting state-building efforts.<\/p>\n

President Hassan Sheikh praised the elders for their historic role in preserving unity, resolving conflicts, and supporting nation-building. He emphasized the importance of close cooperation between the government and traditional leadership to achieve sustainable peace and development.<\/p>\n

In response, the traditional elders expressed appreciation for the President\u2019s visit and the Federal Government\u2019s continued efforts in peacebuilding, reconciliation, and development in South West State.
