Port Authority, Ambassador Mohamed Ali Nur (Americo), alongside the Somali Ambassador to Russia, Mohamed Abuukar Subeer, held a high-level meeting with a delegation from the Ministry of Transport and Logistics of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the sidelines of the International Transport and Logistics Forum in St. Petersburg.<\/p>\n<p>The Saudi delegation included Naif Saleh Samkari, Director of the Marine Environment Department, and environmental expert Najla Alfarraj.<\/p>\n<p>The discussions focused on strengthening maritime cooperation between Somalia and Saudi Arabia, advancing the implementation of bilateral agreements, and aligning efforts with the International Maritime Organization\u2019s (IMO) strategy on environmental protection and emission reduction.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides emphasized the importance of sustainable maritime practices and enhanced collaboration to protect marine environments while supporting the growth of international shipping and logistics.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting reflects Somalia\u2019s ongoing engagement with regional and global partners to modernize its maritime sector and adopt international standards in environmental sustainability.<\/p>\n<p><img
