During the meeting, Prime Minister Hamza briefed Ms. Lattouf on key achievements of the DanQaran Government, noting that Somalia has entered a new phase of state-building and institutional reform. He highlighted the National Transformation Plan 2025\u20132029 (NTP) as the country\u2019s primary framework guiding national development priorities.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister expressed appreciation for UNICEF\u2019s continued support in critical sectors, including education, healthcare, child nutrition, and the provision of clean water\u2014particularly for vulnerable communities affected by prolonged droughts.<\/p>\n
For her part, Ms. Lattouf reaffirmed UNICEF\u2019s strong commitment to supporting the Federal Government of Somalia and strengthening cooperation with national institutions. She emphasized the agency\u2019s focus on expanding access to essential services, especially child health and immunization, combating malnutrition, advancing education, and improving access to clean water and sanitation services across the country.<\/p>\n
The meeting underscored the shared commitment of the Somali government and UNICEF to improving the well-being of children and vulnerable populations nationwide.<\/p>\n
