{"id":455586,"date":"2026-02-01T11:59:40","date_gmt":"2026-02-01T08:59:40","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/?p=455586"},"modified":"2026-02-01T11:59:40","modified_gmt":"2026-02-01T08:59:40","slug":"somali-national-armys-gorgor-commandos-conduct-clearance-operations-in-middle-shabelle","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/somali-national-armys-gorgor-commandos-conduct-clearance-operations-in-middle-shabelle\/","title":{"rendered":"Somali National Army\u2019s Gorgor Commandos Conduct Clearance Operations in Middle Shabelle"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mogadishu, (SONNA) \u2014 The Gorgor Commando Force of the Somali National Army (SNA) has carried out clearance operations in bushland areas north of Jabad-Godane in the Middle Shabelle region.<\/p>\n<p>During the operation, troops seized weapons and ammunition abandoned by Al-Shabaab terrorists\u2014locally referred to by authorities as Khawaarij\u2014who fled while being pursued by government forces.<\/p>\n<p>The commander of the SNA\u2019s 171st Battalion, Abdullahi Mustafa Ali, known as \u201cTimaha-Weyne,\u201d said security forces continue to conduct operations in the area.
