Mogadishu, (SONNA) \u2014 The Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Hamza Abdi Barre, received a delegation from the Government of T\u00fcrkiye at his office, led by the Director General for Africa at the Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Ali Onaner, accompanied by the Turkish Ambassador to Somalia, Ambassador Alper Akta\u015f.<\/p>\n

The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral relations between the Federal Republic of Somalia and the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye, with particular emphasis on cooperation in security and counterterrorism efforts aimed at ensuring stability in Somalia and the wider region.<\/p>\n

Prime Minister Hamza expressed gratitude to the Government and people of T\u00fcrkiye for their unwavering support to Somalia, noting that T\u00fcrkiye is a strategic partner that has played a significant role in supporting Somalia\u2019s security, as well as safeguarding its unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity.<\/p>\n

For his part, Ambassador Ali Onaner thanked the Prime Minister for the warm reception and reaffirmed T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s continued commitment to standing alongside the Somali government and people, while further enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n
