Ali Mohamed Omar, participated on Sunday in the International Conference on Criminalizing Colonialism in Africa, held in Algiers from 30 November to 1 December.<\/p>\n<p>The conference brings together African nations that experienced colonial rule, aiming to strengthen international recognition of colonial-era violations and promote concrete mechanisms for reparations to address longstanding historical injustices.<\/p>\n<p>Participants are expected to finalize the draft of the \u201cAlgeria Declaration,\u201d a comprehensive document reflecting the conference\u2019s main recommendations and conclusions.<\/p>\n<p>The finalized \u201cAlgiers Declaration\u201d will be submitted to the African Union Summit in February 2026, where member states will consider adopting it as an official reference document for recording colonial-era crimes and recognizing their lasting impact across the African continent.<\/p>\n<p>The State Minister met the Secretary of State to the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Algeria in charge of African affairs Ms. Salma Mansouri on the sidelines of the conference and discussed issues of mutual interest.<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" loading=\"lazy\"
