Kampala, (SONNA) \u2014 The President of the Republic of Uganda, H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has officially closed a high-level military training program for 48 officers of the Somali National Army (SNA).<\/p>\n

The Somali officers were part of a total of 498 participants who completed a year-long advanced military training course in Uganda.<\/p>\n

The closing ceremony was attended by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Somalia to Uganda, H.E. Fardowsa Mohamed Qanyare, along with senior military officials from both countries.<\/p>\n

Uganda has previously provided various military training programs to units of the Somali National Army, playing a key role in Somalia\u2019s stabilization efforts and the ongoing fight against terrorism.<\/p>\n
