Ilyas Ali Hassan, has successfully secured the release of more than 50 Somali citizens who were being held in prisons across the Democratic Republic of Congo.<\/p>\n<p>The Somali nationals had been detained in various prisons, including in the city of Lubumbashi. Their release followed diplomatic efforts led by Somalia\u2019s Embassy, which formally appealed to Congolese authorities.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Ilyas told the National Media that the release was expedited after he submitted an official request three days ago to Amb.
