Lower Shabelle, (SONNA) \u2014 The Commander of the Somali National Army\u2019s Land Forces, Gen. Sahal Abdullahi Omar, accompanied by the Commander of Sector 1 of the African Union Stabilization Mission in Somalia (AUSSOM) and other senior officers, conducted an inspection visit to areas in Lower Shabelle region, including locations near Awdheegle district.<\/p>\n

The Commander toured several operational sites, commending the forces for their achievements and the heavy blows inflicted on Al-Shabaab terrorists. He also urged the joint forces to intensify operations and eliminate the remaining hideouts of the enemy.<\/p>\n

The third phase of Operation Silent Storm is actively underway in Lower Shabelle, dealing significant setbacks to Al-Shabaab militants.<\/p>\n
