Jeddah, (SONNA) \u2014 The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Abdisalam Abdi Ali, delivered a speech at the extraordinary meeting of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) held in Jeddah, strongly condemning Israel\u2019s blockade and atrocities against the Palestinian people, particularly in Gaza.<\/p>\n

The Minister called for an immediate ceasefire, protection of civilians, unhindered humanitarian access to Gaza, and support for a two-state solution that guarantees the establishment of an independent Palestinian state with East Jerusalem as its capital.<\/p>\n

He also welcomed international peace efforts and underscored the importance of safeguarding the territorial integrity of all OIC member states, including Somalia.<\/p>\n

Minister Abdisalam reaffirmed Somalia\u2019s firm commitment to defending the rights of the Palestinian people, upholding international law, and supporting all efforts aimed at achieving a just and lasting peace.
