The operation specifically targeted fortifications and hideouts used by Al-Shabaab militants.<\/p>\n<p>During the operation, the Commandos killed over 100 Al-Shabaab fighters, including key commanders. Their defensive tunnels and bunkers were destroyed through precision airstrikes, while Danab units advanced on the ground to secure full control of the area.<\/p>\n<p>Intelligence reports confirmed that Al-Shabaab had been preparing to resist Operation Silent Storm, the ongoing offensive led by the Somali National Army in cooperation with AUSSOM forces across Lower Shabelle.
