Member states were also formally notified that detailed reports on outstanding debts owed by each country will be shared to ensure financial alignment, protect institutional stability, and sustain the organization\u2019s service delivery.<\/p>\n<p>It was also agreed that the next annual meeting in 2026 will be held in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which hosts Arabsat\u2019s headquarters. The 2026 gathering will coincide with the 50th anniversary of Arabsat\u2019s founding.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, the board provided an overview of the organization\u2019s status and operations across 2024 and 2025.<\/p>\n<p>Speaking on behalf of Somalia, Director of the Department of Space and Satellites, Mr. Mohamed Abubakar, delivered a speech highlighting Somalia\u2019s strong commitment to playing an active and visible role in Arab space initiatives. He emphasized the importance of strengthening regional cooperation in space technology.<\/p>\n<p>Somalia\u2019s participation in this high-level forum reflects the Ministry\u2019s strategic focus on enhancing Arab cooperation and advancing the country\u2019s engagement in the development of space technology.
