Riyadh \u2013 The Somali delegation to the Islamic Military Counter Terrorism Coalition (IMCTC), headquartered in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, held a special ceremony today to commemorate the 65th anniversary of Somalia\u2019s Independence and National Unity.<\/p>\n

The event was attended by representatives of IMCTC member states. During the ceremony, General Abdirahman Mohamed Tuuryare, Head of the Somali Delegation, received a formal congratulatory message from IMCTC Secretary-General, General Mohammed Saeed Al-Moghedi.<\/p>\n

In his address, General Tuuryare highlighted the progress of the Somali National Army (SNA) and its growing role in contributing to stability across the Islamic world, particularly in counter-terrorism efforts.<\/p>\n

The celebration also featured a documentary film showcasing Somalia\u2019s rich history, culture, and recent achievements in state-building and combating terrorism.
