{"id":443533,"date":"2025-06-22T12:17:55","date_gmt":"2025-06-22T09:17:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/?p=443533"},"modified":"2025-06-22T13:07:55","modified_gmt":"2025-06-22T10:07:55","slug":"minister-of-interior-chairs-national-local-governance-coordination-meeting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/minister-of-interior-chairs-national-local-governance-coordination-meeting\/","title":{"rendered":"Minister of Interior chairs National Local Governance Coordination Meeting"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mogadishu, (SONNA) \u2014 The Minister of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Ali Yusuf Ali Hosh chaired the launch of the National Local Givernance Coordination Meeting under the theme: \u201cStrengthening collaboration for inclusive, accountable, resilient, and well-coordinated local governance in Somalia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The meeting brings together representatives from Galmudug, Hirshabelle, Jubaland, and South West State, SSC Khatumo and Banadir Regional Administration to exchange experiences, discuss challenges, and showcase progress in advancing local governance, and service delivery across their respective regions.<\/p>\n<p>During the opening of the National Local Governance Coordination Meeting, the Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation emphasized the vital role of effective coordination in achieving inclusive, accountable, and resilient local governments.<\/p>\n<p>At the National Local Governance Coordination Meeting, the Director General of Galmudug provided key updates on the state\u2019s ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance, advance electoral preparations, and enhance service delivery at the district level.<\/p>\n<p>The Director General of Hirshabelle State emphasized the critical role these discussions play in advancing governance, peace, and development across Somalia.<\/p>\n<p>The Director General of SSC-Khatumo State took the floor at the National Local Governance Coordination Meeting to provide key updates on the state\u2019s emerging efforts in governance, stabilization, and public service delivery.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBuilding strong and accountable local governments is essential to bringing services closer to the people, promoting peace, and advancing sustainable development across Somalia,\u201d H.E.
