Mogadishu, (SONNA) \u2013 The President of the Federal Republic of Somalia, H.E. Hassan Sheikh Mohamud has emphasized the importance of government leaders consulting with the public and respecting their concerns to avoid imposing unpopular decisions.<\/p>\n
Speaking during the handover ceremony of the new Director of the National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA), Mahad Mohamed Salad, President Hassan Sheikh stated that the government is committed to inclusive consultation with all sectors of society, including intellectuals, political figures, and ordinary citizens.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe people\u2019s voice must be heard, and their concerns must be taken seriously,\u201d the President said, underlining that while final decisions rest with the country\u2019s constitutional institutions, national leadership should remain open to public input and feedback.<\/p>\n
He further noted that Somalia is entering a critical phase of development and progress, requiring unity and cooperation to position the nation competitively within the region. Highlighting recent advancements, he declared, \u201cToday, we have reached the stage where we can begin harnessing our own natural resources,\u201d describing it as a visible milestone in the government\u2019s achievements.<\/p>\n
