The conference brought together senior officials, including the President of Ghana, H.E. John Dramani Mahama, the King of the Asante Kingdom, ministers from various African countries, international experts, and representatives from global institutions.<\/p>\n
In his address to the conference, Deputy Minister Omar underscored Somalia\u2019s commitment to the fair and transparent development of its natural resources. He highlighted the government\u2019s vision for leveraging the extractives sector to support national development while ensuring environmental sustainability and social equity.<\/p>\n
On the sidelines of the conference, the Deputy Minister held bilateral meetings with African leaders and representatives from international organizations, where discussions focused on strengthening technical cooperation and institutional support for Somalia\u2019s mining sector.<\/p>\n
The Ministry of Petroleum and Mineral Resources views participation in such global forums as a strategic opportunity to build technical capacity, foster international partnerships, and advance the sustainable development of Somalia\u2019s vast natural wealth.<\/p>\n
