Abdisalam Abdi Ali, received the Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Somalia and Head of the UN Transition Mission in Somalia (UNTMIS), Ambassador James Swan, at the Ministry\u2019s headquarters in Mogadishu.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Swan congratulated Minister Abdisalam on his recent appointment and reaffirmed the United Nations\u2019 commitment to continued collaboration with the Federal Government of Somalia. He also outlined the UN\u2019s transition plans in Somalia, focusing on governance, elections, human rights, and strengthening bilateral cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Abdisalam expressed gratitude for the UN\u2019s ongoing support and emphasized the importance of deepening ties and strategic coordination between the Somali government and the United Nations.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
