Bihi Iman Egeh, who is on an official working visit to Algeria, today visited the newly established Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia in Algiers, ahead of its official inauguration.<\/p>\n<p>Minister Egeh was warmly received by Somalia\u2019s Ambassador to Algeria, H.E. Yusuf Ahmed Hassan (Yusuf Jeego). The visit marks a significant diplomatic milestone, as Somalia has not had a permanent embassy in Algeria since 1991.<\/p>\n<p>The Finance Minister is in Algeria to attend the annual general meeting of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB), currently taking place in Algiers. During his visit, Minister Biixi also held bilateral talks with his Algerian counterpart, where they discussed strengthening economic cooperation between the two countries.<\/p>\n<p>Ambassador Jeego expressed his gratitude for the minister\u2019s visit and emphasized the importance of the embassy as a symbol of Somalia\u2019s presence abroad.
