The discussions focused on strengthening economic cooperation, supporting Somalia\u2019s reforms, and advancing development initiatives under the\u00a0National Transformation Plan (NTP).<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">Minister Ige met with Norway\u2019s Minister for International Development, \u00c5smund Aukrust, to discuss ongoing support for Somalia\u2019s economic recovery. Norway has been a key partner in Somalia\u2019s\u00a0debt relief process\u00a0and continues to assist in building resilience against climate-related shocks. The two officials explored ways to enhance Somalia\u2019s productivity and expand development programs.\u00a0<em>&#8220;We deeply appreciate Norway\u2019s unwavering commitment to Somalia\u2019s progress,&#8221;<\/em> said Minister Ige.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">In talks with senior officials from the\u00a0UK Foreign, Commonwealth &amp; Development Office (FCDO), the focus was on\u00a0economic reforms, institutional capacity building, and job creation. The UK reaffirmed its support for Somalia\u2019s reform agenda, with both sides agreeing to deepen collaboration in governance and private sector growth. The meeting highlighted the strong historical ties between the two nations and their shared vision for a stable and prosperous Somalia.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">Minister Ige also held discussions with Danish representatives from the International Development Policy Office, where they explored opportunities to strengthen Somalia\u2019s financial systems and invest in key economic sectors. Denmark expressed interest in supporting Somalia\u2019s efforts to improve economic governance and unlock its untapped resources, which are vital for long-term growth.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ds-markdown-paragraph\">The Somali delegation met with\u00a0Birgid Pickel, Director General for Africa at Germany\u2019s Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development, to review progress under the\u00a0National Transformation Plan. Germany, a long-standing partner, pledged continued support for Somalia\u2019s development priorities, including infrastructure and economic stability.
