Masagawaay<\/span><\/span>\u00a0\u2014 A delegation led by Eng. Hassan Mohamoud Mohamed, widely known as “<\/span><\/span>Gaashaan<\/span><\/span> Yare,” has arrived in <\/span><\/span>Masagawaay<\/span><\/span>, a central town in Somalia\u2019s <\/span><\/span>Galgaduud <\/span><\/span>region, to support ongoing operations aimed at liberating areas still under the control of the terrorist group Al-Shabaab.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

While in the region, Eng. Hassan met with government troops and encouraged them to intensify their national duty and continue their mission until Al-Shabaab is fully defeated.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

\u201cWe came here as a delegation from the <\/span><\/span>Dhagaweyne<\/span><\/span>Cumar clan to commend and support the brave Somali National Army and local forces who are sacrificing their lives to protect the nation,\u201d said Eng. Hassan. \u201cThese heroes are engaged in a fierce battle with the extremist group Al-Shabaab. In response to the President\u2019s call, we stand in solidarity with our armed forces. We have handed over two camels and food supplies today\u2014but our support will not stop here; we will continue to stand with our <\/span><\/span>troops.\u201d<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

The delegation, composed of traditional elders, politicians, and youth from the <\/span><\/span>Dhagaweyne<\/span><\/span> Cumar sub-clan of the <\/span><\/span>Waceysle<\/span><\/span> clan\u2014one of the clans in Galmudug\u2014delivered vital humanitarian aid to the Somali National Army<\/span><\/span> (SNA)<\/span><\/span> and local community forces actively fighting against the extremist militants in <\/span><\/span>Masagawaay<\/span><\/span> and <\/span><\/span>Ceeldheer<\/span><\/span>. The assistance included live animals and food supplies.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Mr. Hassan recently returned to Somalia after nearly 30 years in the diaspora, driven by a patriotic commitment to contribute to the country’s reconstruction and governance. He is a well-respected professional who once worked at the former Mogadishu Power Station before leaving for the United Kingdom 35 years ago to pursue higher education.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

He holds both Bachelor\u2019s and Double <\/span><\/span>Master\u2019s degrees in Manufacturing Engineering<\/span><\/span>, Engineering Design, Management, and EU Business Management. Throughout his career in the UK, he worked with major institutions including:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
