Mogadishu, (SONNA) – The Minister of Youth and Sports of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Mohamed Abdulkadir Ali, today welcomed the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) Country Representative, Dr. Mary Otieno, to the Ministry\u2019s headquarters in Mogadishu.<\/p>\n

The meeting, which served as an introductory engagement, focused on strengthening the longstanding partnership between the Ministry and UNFPA, particularly in areas related to youth skills development and empowerment.<\/p>\n

Minister Mohamed Abdulkadir expressed gratitude to UNFPA for its continued support, emphasizing the government\u2019s commitment to deepening cooperation and expanding youth-focused initiatives. He urged the agency to further scale up its programs to meet the growing needs of Somali youth.<\/p>\n

Dr. Mary Otieno commended the minister\u2019s dedication to youth advancement, reaffirming UNFPA\u2019s pledge to continue its support. She welcomed the Ministry\u2019s openness to collaboration and praised its efforts to elevate youth voices and opportunities.<\/p>\n
