Mogadishu, (SONNA) \u2013 The Minister of Defense of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E. Jibriil Abdirasheed Haji, received the Ambassador of the Republic of T\u00fcrkiye, H.E. Alper Akta\u015f, at the Ministry\u2019s headquarters, where they held discussions on enhancing bilateral relations and accelerating cooperation, particularly in the areas of defense and security.<\/p>\n

Ambassador Akta\u015f congratulated Minister Jibriil on his recent appointment and reaffirmed T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s unwavering commitment to supporting Somalia. He highlighted continued cooperation in rebuilding the Somali National Army and providing technical support in the fight against terrorism.<\/p>\n

Minister Jibriil expressed his gratitude to the Government of T\u00fcrkiye for its consistent and longstanding support to Somalia, especially in strengthening the national defense forces and contributing to broader social development services.<\/p>\n
