Mahmoud Youssouf, held a high-level meeting with U.S. Ambassador to the African Union, Stephanie S. Sullivan, earlier today at the AU headquarters in Addis Ababa. The discussions centered on enhancing AU-U.S. cooperation and exploring new avenues for collaboration.<\/p>\n

During the engagement, Chairperson Youssouf emphasized the strategic significance of the AU-U.S. partnership, particularly in supporting stabilization efforts in Somalia. Both leaders reaffirmed their shared commitment to advancing peace and security in the region.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe partnership between the African Union and the United States remains vital in addressing critical challenges, including peacebuilding and conflict resolution,\u201d said Youssouf.
