Mogadishu, SONNA \u2013 Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre has reaffirmed the Somali government\u2019s commitment to eliminating Kharijite militants, emphasizing that Somalia cannot achieve progress while terrorist elements remain in the country.<\/p>\n
Speaking at an Iftar gathering attended by Somali alumni who studied in Malaysia, the Prime Minister highlighted the heavy losses inflicted on the militants by the National Army and local forces, describing the fight as an existential battle for Somalia\u2019s future.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe objective is not just to repel Kharijites, but to wipe them out entirely. Somalia cannot develop as long as they hold even a small portion of our land. It is crucial that we all unite against them,\u201d PM Hamza declared.<\/p>\n
The Prime Minister also underscored the spiritual significance of the 27th night of Ramadan, believed by many scholars to be Laylatul Qadr, urging Somalis to forgive one another and pray for peace and stability in the country.<\/p>\n
\u201cI call on all Somalis, as individuals and communities, to seek reconciliation, forgive each other, and pray for the well-being of our nation,\u201d he stated.<\/p>\n
