Mogadishu, (SONNA) \u2014 Somali National Army (SNA) forces, with intelligence support from NISA and in coordination with international partners, conducted a targeted airstrike against senior Al-Shabaab leaders and militants in Dib-dheer, Ceel-Buur district, Galgaduud region.<\/p>\n
The precision strike eliminated several high-ranking Al-Shabaab figures, including:<\/p>\n
1. Ahmed Macalin \u2014 Al-Shabaab commander of Ceel-Buur district.<\/p>\n
2. Abu Salmaan \u2014 Al-Shabaab leader of Ceel-Garas, Galgaduud.<\/p>\n
3. Hussein Ali Badal \u2014 Al-Shabaab leader of Xiindheere.<\/p>\n
4. Budul Farah Geedi \u2014 Senior Al-Shabaab operative in Xiindheere.<\/p>\n
5. Sakariye \u2014 Senior Al-Shabaab operative in Galgaduud.<\/p>\n
In addition, several other operatives involved in spreading extremist propaganda were also neutralized:<\/p>\n
1. Mire Cagdheer \u2014 Senior Al-Shabaab operative.<\/p>\n
2. Muse Omar \u2014 Senior Al-Shabaab operative.<\/p>\n
3. Mohamed U Rur \u2014 Senior Al-Shabaab operative.<\/p>\n
4. Haji Bashir \u2014 Senior Al-Shabaab operative.<\/p>\n
The Somali National Army confirmed that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to dismantle Al-Shabaab\u2019s network and followed a previous offensive on March 13, 2025, when local Macawiisley fighters clashed with militants in Bay-Caadle village.<\/p>\n
The targeted militants were reportedly gathering in Maalin Nugur to pressure local communities into joining their ranks while planning retaliation against the Macawiisley fighters.<\/p>\n
