The meeting, held on a weekly basis, brought together heads of leadership, departments, and independent committees within the Somali Police Force.<\/p>\n<p>During the meeting, Brigadier General Abdullahi emphasized the police force\u2019s readiness to support and implement one-person, one-vote elections, a critical step toward democratic governance in Somalia. He also directed officers to remain vigilant against the schemes of insurgent groups, which continue to pose a threat to the safety and stability of the Somali people.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are committed to ensuring the security of our nation and its citizens,\u201d said Brigadier General Abdullahi. \u201cOur officers are prepared to thwart any plots by insurgents that aim to harm the Somali people and disrupt our progress.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The Police Chief further called on the public to actively collaborate with security agencies by reporting individuals or groups involved in activities that undermine national security. \u201cThe fight against insecurity is a collective responsibility. We urge all citizens to report any suspicious activities to the relevant authorities,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting reflects the Somali Police Force\u2019s ongoing efforts to enhance security measures, particularly in the lead-up to the planned one-person, one-vote elections.
