Deputy Prime Minister Inaugurates Major Labor Conference in Mogadishu"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mogadishu, (SONNA) &#8211; The Second Deputy Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, H.E Abdisalan Abdi Ali (Dhaay), inaugurated the Fifth Conference of Somali Trade Unions (FESTU) in Mogadishu.<\/p>\n<p>The conference, attended by 320 delegates from the country&#8217;s federal member states, Banadir region, and representatives of 12 Somali labor unions, aims to address labor rights, strengthen democratic practices, promote workers&#8217; unity, combat injustice, enhance democracy, job creation, and national development based on equality and social justice.<\/p>\n<p>Mr. Abdisalan Abdi Ali expressed his satisfaction with the recent signing of the revised Labor Law by the President of the Federal Government of Somalia, which marks a significant achievement for Somali workers after 52 years.<\/p>\n<p>He also emphasized the government&#8217;s commitment to implementing the Decent Work Country Programme, which is a priority for Somalia to ensure that economic growth aligns with job opportunities available in the country.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\"
