Envoy James Swan, welcomed UN Under-Secretary-General for Political and Peacebuilding Affairs, H.E. Rosemary A. DiCarlo, during her visit to Somalia. FM Fiqi briefed H.E. DiCarlo on Somalia\u2019s recent progress, particularly in the security sector.<\/p>\n<p>Discussions included the resumption of the National Consultative Council (NCC) meetings on 26 October and Somalia&#8217;s transition to the African Union Transition Mission (AUSSOM). The FM expressed optimism about the UN Security Council\u2019s consideration of Somalia\u2019s proposals.<\/p>\n<p>H.E.
