Mogadishu, (SONNA):<\/strong> It was a heart-wrenching evening in Mogadishu when a group of six terrorists stormed the Beach View Hotel, a popular seaside restaurant frequented by locals seeking respite from the week\u2019s stresses. The serene atmosphere quickly turned chaotic as the terrorists unleashed a wave of destruction, beginning with explosives that left many dead and others injured. The exact number of casualties remains unknown as police continue their investigation, but it has been confirmed that all the attackers have been neutralized and the hotel secured. The injured are currently receiving medical attention at various hospitals across the city.<\/p>\n

In the aftermath of the attack, there have been urgent cries for blood donations. The public responded in overwhelming numbers, turning out at hospitals throughout the night and into the morning to donate blood and offer any assistance they could to emergency workers. This outpouring of support highlights the resilience and solidarity of the Mogadishu community in the face of such a brutal attack.<\/p>\n

The Governor of Banadir Region and the Mayor of Mogadishu, Mr. Yusuf Hussein Jimale (Madaale), visited several hospitals in the middle of the night to meet with the victims of the attack. Standing over the injured, the mayor listened intently to reports from doctors about the rehabilitation efforts. He offered prayers for a speedy recovery for those injured and wished paradise for those who lost their lives in the attack.<\/p>\n

Mayor Jimale called on doctors and health centres to provide the best possible care to those affected by the attack, without any conditions. He assured that the Banadir Regional Government would support and assist the Somali community during this difficult time.<\/p>\n

The attack on the Beach View Hotel has left Mogadishu in mourning. The city\u2019s residents are grappling with the emotional weight of the tragedy, as they come together to support the victims and their families.
