In his address aboard the navy warship, the President emphasized the strategic partnership between T\u00fcrkiye and Somalia, particularly in the areas of humanitarian aid, security, defense, and economic development. He underscored the historical significance of the warship\u2019s visit to our country\u2019s territorial waters as a \u201csign of the enduring fraternal relations between the two brotherly nations and a new dawn for Somalia\u2019s maritime security\u201d.<\/p>\n
The President also expressed gratitude for T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s support of Somalia\u2019s efforts to protect its territorial waters within the framework of the recently signed Defense and Economic Cooperation.<\/p>\n
Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan, who sent a message of greeting to the ceremony, reaffirmed T\u00fcrkiye\u2019s strong support for Somalia\u2019s sovereignty and territorial integrity, further stressing that \u201cthe historical relations between our two countries now point to a unity of destiny\u201d.<\/p>\n
