Mogadishu, Somalia – The Ministry of Endowment and Religious Affairs has inaugurated the national-level Qur\u2019an recitation competition in a ceremony that saw the participation of high-ranking officials and scholars.
\nThe event, which marks its second year of support from the President of the Somali federal government, welcomed students from various regions including Jubbaland, South West, Hirshabelle, Galmudug, and Khatumo.
\nOfficials and scholars alike commended the country\u2019s leadership for their dedication to the development of the Holy Qur\u2019an. They urged continued governmental support for these efforts, highlighting the importance of teaching students\u2019 interpretation and the Arabic language to enable them to compete internationally.
\nSharif Ibrahim Abdullahi Ali, the chairman of the Qur\u2019an Competition Judiciary, and Ali Haji Dahir, chairman of the Justice, Endowment and Religious Affairs Committee of the People\u2019s Assembly, expressed their appreciation for the educational focus on the Qur\u2019an.
