SONNA – Bukayo Saka is eager for more success at Arsenal after signing a new long-term contract extension.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Saka, 21, has played a key role in the Gunners’ title tilt this term, scoring 13 goals and providing 11 assists in 37 Premier League outings.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Having previously won the FA Cup and Community Shield with his boyhood club, he believes bigger prizes will come his way.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Saka said: “I’m just really happy. There has been a lot of talking and it’s been a while, but I’m here now.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“I think this is the right club, the right place to make the next step.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“It’s a beautiful club. For me, it’s about achieving my personal ambitions \u2014 how much I push myself and demand from myself each game, week in, week out.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“Then I have all the right people around me in terms of family, and when I come to the training ground, my team-mates, the coaching staff.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“I think I have everything I need to become the best player I can be. That’s why I\u2019m happy to stay here and be here for the future, because I really believe we can achieve big things.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

England international Saka has made 178 appearances since making his debut for the North Londoners in November 2018.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

And boss Mikel Arteta was delighted to see the winger commit his future to the club. He said: “It’s great for the club that Bukayo has extended his contract.<\/p>\n

\n

“Retaining our best young talents is key to our continued progress and Bukayo represents such an important part of our squad now and for the future.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“As well as being a fantastic talent, Bukayo is a special person.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

“He’s loved by us all and he is a credit to himself and his family for the hard work and commitment they have all made to get to this level today.”<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Saka becomes the second first-team player to extend his stay at the Emirates in recent days,\u00a0following in the footsteps of keeper Aaron Ramsdale<\/span>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Having seen their title challenge end with defeat at Nottingham Forest last Saturday, the Gunners bring the curtain down on their campaign at home to Wolves on Sunday.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

\n

Regardless of the result, Arteta’s side will finish second to Treble-chasing Manchester City.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n
