{"id":415796,"date":"2023-04-02T16:28:28","date_gmt":"2023-04-02T13:28:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/?p=415796"},"modified":"2023-04-02T16:28:28","modified_gmt":"2023-04-02T13:28:28","slug":"somalia-pm-urges-commission-to-speed-up-work-on-constitution","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/somalia-pm-urges-commission-to-speed-up-work-on-constitution\/","title":{"rendered":"Somalia PM Urges Commission to Speed Up Work on Constitution"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mogadishu, Somalia, SONNA-: Prime Minister Hamse Abdi Barre has urged the Independent Commission for the Review and Implementation of the Transitional Constitution to speed up its work on the country&#8217;s constitution.<\/p>\n<p>Barre met with the commission on Monday and stressed the importance of completing the constitution as a priority for the government.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the constitution is a key document for the country and that it is important to have a constitution that is agreed upon by all Somalis.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister also emphasized the importance of the commission&#8217;s work in ensuring that the constitution is inclusive and that it reflects the views of all Somalis.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the commission has already made progress in its work and that he is confident that they will be able to complete the constitution in a timely manner.<\/p>\n<p>The transitional constitution of Somalia has been in draft form for many years.
