Mogadishu, (SONNA)-: The Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, H.E Abshir Omar Jama, on Sunday held a meeting with a high-level delegation from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) at his office in Mogadishu.<\/p>\n

The delegation led by Ambassador Yousef Aldobeay, Assistant Secretary-General for Political Affairs, the meeting covered several critical humanitarian issues affecting Somalia.<\/p>\n

The discussion focused on the impact of drought on Somali farmers, the Somali government’s efforts to complete debt relief, lifting the 32-year-old arms embargo, and the OIC’s full support for Somalia’s bid to become a non-permanent member of the United Nations Security Council.<\/p>\n
