{"id":412426,"date":"2023-01-22T05:27:56","date_gmt":"2023-01-22T05:27:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/?p=412426"},"modified":"2023-01-22T05:27:56","modified_gmt":"2023-01-22T05:27:56","slug":"atmis-hands-over-maslah-forward-operating-base-to-the-federal-government-of-somalia","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/atmis-hands-over-maslah-forward-operating-base-to-the-federal-government-of-somalia\/","title":{"rendered":"ATMIS hands over Maslah Forward Operating Base to the Federal Government of Somalia"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mogadishu, 2(SONNA) &#8211; The African Union Transition Mission in Somalia<br \/>\n(ATMIS) officially handed over Maslah Forward Operating Base (FOB) to the<br \/>\nFederal Government of Somalia, ceding control of the facility it had occupied since<br \/>\n2012.<\/p>\n<p>The handover is in line with the joint Concept of Operations (CONOPs) and the<br \/>\nSomali Transition Plan &#8211; developed by the Federal Government of Somalia, ATMIS,<br \/>\nthe UN and development partners to guide the transition process.<br \/>\nA land lease agreement formalizing the handover was signed by the Special<br \/>\nRepresentative of the Chairperson of the African Union Commission (SRCC) for<br \/>\nSomalia and Head of ATMIS Ambassador Mohamed El-Amine Souef and Somalia\u2019s<br \/>\nState Minister for Defence, Abdinur Daahir Fidow at a ceremony held in the<br \/>\ncapital, Mogadishu.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cToday is a proud moment for us as a Mission.
