{"id":412018,"date":"2023-01-13T10:08:36","date_gmt":"2023-01-13T10:08:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/?p=412018"},"modified":"2023-01-13T11:06:28","modified_gmt":"2023-01-13T11:06:28","slug":"puntland-state-forces-kills-is-commander-during-operation-in-bari-region","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/puntland-state-forces-kills-is-commander-during-operation-in-bari-region\/","title":{"rendered":"Puntland State forces kills IS Commander during Operation in Bari region"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Bosaso (SONNA) &#8211; Puntland State forces killed Abu-Albara Al Amani, an IS commander during operation in Bari region, northeast Somalia.<\/p>\n<p>A statement from the Puntland State revealed that Abu-Albara was killed after the group carried out a raid at a police station in the municipality of Balidhidin in the region overnight.<\/p>\n<p>During the raid on Balidhidin police station , one soldier from Puntland State forces was also killed according to the statement.<\/p>\n<p>The police identified the dead commander to be Amhara origin from Ethiopia, and coerced a significant number of Ethiopians to join to the group.<\/p>\n<p>The group appointed Abu-Albara as the head of IS operations in July 2021, following the demise of his predecessor Abu Waliid Al-muhaajir, who succumbed to injuries sustained during a counter-terrorism operation conducted by Puntland security forces in the vicinity of AlMiskaad hills.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Bosaso (SONNA) &#8211; Puntland State forces killed Abu-Albara Al Amani, an IS commander during operation in Bari region, northeast Somalia.
