{"id":411677,"date":"2023-01-05T17:40:09","date_gmt":"2023-01-05T17:40:09","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/?p=411677"},"modified":"2023-01-05T17:40:09","modified_gmt":"2023-01-05T17:40:09","slug":"photos-somali-national-news-agency-celebrates-59th-founding-anniversary","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/sonna.so\/en\/photos-somali-national-news-agency-celebrates-59th-founding-anniversary\/","title":{"rendered":"Photos: Somali National News Agency celebrates 59th founding anniversary"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Mogadishu(SONNA)-Somali National News Agency, SONNA celebrated its 59th founding anniversary at an event being held at its main headquarter at Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism in the capital Mogadishu today on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Prime Minister, Hamza Abdi Barre paid an inspection to the Ministry of Information and visited the official News Agency&#8217;s offices, meeting the staff and he encourage them redouble their efforts in promoting public services, raising awareness and convey Government&#8217;s message to both local and International media.<\/p>\n<p>The Prime Minister cut the ribbon of the new repaired offices and re-start SMS messages for the agency during his stay at the Ministry. He also visited the TV station and Radio Mogadishu Archive which was established in 1951.<\/p>\n<p>Somali National News Agency, SONNA was founded on January 5, 1964 under the Ministry of Information based in the capital Mogadishu and it was operating throughout the 18th regions in the country before the collapse of the central Government in 1990.
