Kismayo (SONNA): Jubaland State President H.E Ahmed Mohamed Islam(Madoby) chaired a meeting of Jubaland’s ministerial council today, SONNA reported.<\/p>\n

The meeting was preceded by a briefing by Jubaland’s state President on the overall security situation in the country and the ongoing electoral process.<\/p>\n

The Ministry of Health of Jubaland State has reported to the council on the health situation in the region, informing the council about the recent updates regarding COVID-19, and is continuing efforts to raise public awareness to control the spread of the virus.<\/p>\n

In addition, Ministry of Livestock has said that the drought-stricken areas of Jubaland region are still affected and various relief efforts are still underway in drought-stricken areas.<\/p>\n

The cabinet approved an agreement between Jubaland\u2019s Ministry of Ports and Maritime Transport and a private company, which will invest in the oil reserves located in kismayo\u2019s port to develop the region\u2019s revenue sources.<\/p>\n
