The Arab Media Group, in cooperation with the Malaysian Ministry of Entrepreneurship Development and sponsored by the Arab Ambassadors Council in Malaysia, organized the Arab International Conference and Exhibition from 26-28 July, the first of its kind in Malaysia in terms of events, countries, companies and individuals. As well as for the first time a ceremony honoring graduates in Malaysia from all Arab countries.
The conference was attended by a number of high profile officials from Arab embassies in Malaysia including ambassadors and representatives.
The Malaysian government which was hosting the event was represented by a team led by HE Dr. Dato Mohammad Radwan, Minister of Business Development in Malaysia, who delivered a speech stressing that such event is a special occasion for cultural exchanges between Arab countries and Malaysia, not to mention the common heritage, customs and culture of Islam. Malaysians also recommended the need to learn the Arabic language to strengthen the strong cultural ties between the Arab world and Malaysia.
"These plots help the Arab countries to promote and offer their products and heritage to Malaysia, in addition to enhancing the good image of the Arab communities living in Malaysia," said the former Kuwaiti Ambassador and Dean of the Arab Diplomatic Corps in Malaysia Saad Al Assousi. Minister Mohammad Radwan stressed Malaysia's interest is in promoting cultural and commercial relations with the Arab world.
In turn, the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Somalia was an active participant in the conference in all its activities and the Embassy was represented by the commercial attaché to the embassy of Somalia in Malaysia Mohamed Abukar Abdi.
The commercial attaché presented opportunities in Somalia and products that Somalia can offer,The cultural exhibition was presented by Badri Hussein the cultural attaché to the Somali Embassy in Malaysia.
The embassy exhibited a number of pictures, handicrafts and folk food, which reflects the Somali identity and identity, the Somalia corner attracted quite number of people who were amused by the Somali display including Minister Mohammad Radwan and a number of officials and media.
The yearly Comprehensive Arab Conference and Exhibition in Malaysia,2019 was very important and focused on how to enhance the integration of trade relation between Arab and Asian countries,and Somalia attends the second year.
