SoDMA Holds Meeting to Strengthen Humanitarian Aid Accountability

Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Somali Disaster Management Agency (SoDMA) held a key meeting to strengthen accountability, transparency and safeguards against the diversion of humanitarian assistance, focusing on mapping transport, logistics and business operators along and near the Mogadishu–Baidoa corridor.
Dr. Ismail Jimale, Head of Projects Development at SoDMA, opened the meeting and stressed the importance of cooperation and information sharing to ensure humanitarian assistance reaches intended communities safely and efficiently.
Senior SoDMA officials, including Director Mukhtar Sheikh, Senior Adviser Mohamed Maalim and Mohamed Adalle, also participated in efforts to strengthen accountability and prevent aid diversion.
