Mogadishu, (SONNA) — The Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Federal Affairs and Reconciliation of the Federal Government of Somalia, Mr.Abdulkadir Elmi Ali, today co-chaired the Technical Joint Steering Committee meeting of the Somalia Stability Fund (SSF) alongside the FCDO Development Director, Mr. Chris Pycroft.
The meeting brought together representatives from the Federal Government, Federal Member States, Banadir Regional Administration, SSF, FCDO, and development partners to review and discuss the Year Four work plans of the Somalia Stability Fund.
During the meeting, the Ministry presented its Year Four work plan, highlighting key priorities for the year ahead, including strengthening reconciliation processes, supporting local governance, expanding civil registration and population visibility, enhancing coordination in newly liberated areas, and promoting social cohesion through inclusive community engagement.
Discussions focused on ensuring that Year Four priorities are aligned with national priorities, local needs, and the lived realities of Somali communities.
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment, as the government coordinating body, to working closely with FCDO, SSF, Federal and State institutions, the Banadir Regional Administration, donors, and all relevant stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination and effective implementation in the year ahead.
